Zilker Kite Festival March 5th,2011

March 5th 2011 is the Zilker Kite Festival starting at 10am.

Come everyone and remember how it felt to fly a kite or just watch others fly kites. This coming Saturday is the annual Kite Festival. Parking is very hard to find due to the amount of people every year SO anyone that would like to car pool meet at the house. We can meet at the house at 9:30am and about 10am head to the festival. We can all get into as little cars as possible OR If you want to drive yourself or come later you can always meet us there. Just call and we can tell you where we are at Zilker.
Bring:

* Sling chair or blanket to sit on
^ Kite if you wanna fly one

When we are all start getting hungry and are worn out from the kite flying fun we can head to a near by restaurant for lunch. Anyone is welcome to come back after lunch and hang out as well.

Now think about this…… How long has it been since you flew a kite or watched awesome kites all in one place? There are SO many kites from big to little. You will have a GREAT time. I hope to see you all

February Party!!

The RECAP:
The party went GREAT. We had several new people come out and meet everyone. We had about 20 people at the party and 4 ended up spending the night. We played games, ate pizza and watched movies. I can’t wait until the next party!

Having another party in our home!!!! Feb 19 at 3pm BUT feel free to come when you can

Come and wear what you feel comfortable in!
Diaper changing area will be set up and a limited amount of diapers will be provided!!
Food and drinks will be provided @ no cost to you!

Come and relax with others like yourself!!!
You may spend the night if you’d like.

January 2011 Munch Recap

What a fun munch we had today! A big enough crowd (including all the NC Munch Organizers) that we almost didn’t have enough tables. Thanks to DM and T for coming all the way from Charlotte to munch with us, and welcome to new munchers K and J. As always we are happy to see our “regulars” too!

After we ate we headed over to Gate City Lanes to bowl for an hour, which was great, even if none of us are exactly bowling champs. I think we’ll definitely be bowling again sometime! It was a bit warm in the alley, leading us to have to go for ice cream afterwards.

All in all it was a lovely munch day and I hope future munches are as fun. Please stay tuned for information on a special Raleigh-area munch hosted by Sleepy on Sat, Feb 12th and calendar our regular Greensboro munch which will be Sat, Feb 26th.

December 2010 Munch Recap

Thanks to Z for braving the cold to come munch with Justin and myself at our December munch. I hope that the special date did not put anyone off and folks were just busy shopping or pre-holiday shenanigans.

November 2010 Munch Recap

Yay for a fun holiday weekend munch! We had Spacey & Lady Mae of the Atlanta Littles Munch up visiting and it was super to have them in attendance at the NC munch. Also, welcome to 2 new munchers who could join us on Saturday – it was great to meet you, J and C.

After the munch we headed over to ice cream at Coldstone.

Our next regularly scheduled munch fell on Christmas, so we’ve moved it up a week to the 3rd Saturday, which is December 18th. I hope to see lots of you there!

2010 November Munch Recap

Thanks to all the great folks that turned out last Saturday we had another great Littles Munch with a new record, some amazing art work, and lots of conversation and hugs. We had about 30 people come including a few new faces and some that hadn’t visited in a long time.

The record we set this time is going to be a really tough one to beat. It was previously held my a munch attendee that travelled all the way from Hawaii. This time though, the record to beat for the furthest distance travelled to attend the munch is all the way from Singapore. Since that’s pretty much on the other side of the planet from the munch, the next person to beat it is going to have to visit from another planet.

As often happens, we had some amazing artist among the munch goers this month. One of them decided to share his skill by making some line drawings for a few of us. For me, he drew a a great picture of my little girl side. I scanned it and colored it in:

I know at least two other folks got a drawing too.

After the munch, a few of us headed back to Mommy’s and my place to play video games and card games. Mario Party on the Wii seemed the most popular. Everyone had fun playing and and cheering.

October 2010 Munch Recap

We had a nice small munch on the 23rd with some regulars, and a new muncher! We hope to see you at a munch again soon, R. An after-munch plan was concocted to see Despicable Me before it escaped from all the local theatres.

R from Durham, we hope you feel better soon! You were missed this month.

I hope lots of y’all can join us on Saturday Nov 27th for our next munch, it will be a few days after Thanksgiving. We are planning a fun outing for afterwards, so stay tuned to the mailing list for updates!

October Munch

I want to thank everyone who came out to the Little’s munch this past weekend. We had relatively a small crowd of about 8 but we still had the bests time ever. We were suppose to go to the zoo but then there was talk of watching a parade. In the end though, a few people ended up staying around the diner to play flux and hello kitty uno.

I’m looking forward to our next munch which will be November 20th at 1:30 PM at the Atlanta Diner.

Albany, NY Munch 1

Our first munch went really well. Lots of people turned out for something a bit off the mainstream. We had a very accepting vibe and space for more people. Some people came from far away and some people came out to their first kink thing. The space was all but private. There was a small snafu with the staffing but it worked out well enough.

Thanks so much to everyone who came to our first munch. We had a great turnout! It was wonderful talking with everyone. It was heartwarming to see so many people who shared my interest. It makes it easier to accept oneself. Good time had by all, I’d say.

Thanks everybody. See you next month too I hope!

We had a fun, if small, September munch. There were some great discussions about the future of the munch and ideas for improvements! Thank you R for the donations of toys/coloring items for the munch.
