I just have to give a great big thank you to everyone that came out this month to make the munch and the play party one of the most amazing events I’ve ever attended in Atlanta! It was seriously incredible and fun. And we really had a beautiful day for it too.
It all got started the munch. I arrived early to the diner for the newbie meet to find one couple already waiting for things to get started. They were kind enough to help me get a few tables setup up. Since RSVPs aren’t required for the munch, you never know exactly how many folks will be there from month to month. We had 23 last month, so I setup places for 25. So much for planning ahead…
With the corner we have in the diner, our crew usually usually sets up the tables in an “L” shape. As the regular munch time came people started arriving, the “L” kept getting longer and longer. And for the first time ever, we formed the tables into a “U.” And the “U” got bigger too. We started having to bring over tables from other booths in the restaurant. There were seriously a lot of great people to hug!
At totaled the munch was pushing about 40 people. It was a wonderful sight to witness with DLs, abys, school kid, teenz, mediums, bigs, and a couple of curious people that wanted to learn more about age play. Everyone was coloring, eating, and talking together. Celebrating all those things that we have in common and bind us together as friends. My words cant do it justice. I’ll just say that THIS is what the Atlanta Littles Munch is about.
The munch group was still going strong about 3:45 pm, when I decided I needed to leave and get things setup at for the party. Once again, I arrived to find a few folks that left the munch early already waiting at the party. I got the house opened up, and worked on organizing all the yummy treats people brought to share. I’m pretty certain that there is a chopped down field of sugar cane somewhere that would still be standing if it weren’t for all the great stacks people brought to share.
Early on in the party, the bigs got together and hid the easter eggs in the back yard for the hunt later. In the mean time the rest of changed into more fun attire, painted crafts, colored, plopped down in puppy piles, watch Ponyo, sang, dances, played games with a silly chicken-like balloon, and enjoyed each other’s company. Later lots of us littles paired up and we hunted the eggs.
As the sun set and the sugar rushes began to become sugar crashes, we rounded out the evening with some face painting and settling in to watch Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Then many more hugs as folks had to leave.
I think I need a whole other Saturday to recover from all the fun we had this weekend. It was serious so very fantastic. Thanks again to all of you that came out and made it so special.
The next Atlanta Littles Munch is Saturday, April 17th. The after-munch field trip is yet to be determined.
